Every parent wants the best for their children. They want to see them succeed as educated members of society with strong values of parental respect. My parents were no different. From a very young age, I watched closely as my father, Jyoti Prakash, instilled in me, through his personal example, the values of helping the least fortunate in many ways, including paying for the education and marriages of women who were not financially able to do so.

I watched as he taught everyone he came across, respect for the environment by educating them on the importance of utilizing pesticide free farming practices to ensure a healthy humanity. I watched as he encouraged sustainability by discouraging the removable of trees and vegetation to encourage improvements in air quality. These tremendous examples and these seeds of respect taught to me by my parents have inspired me to create an institution with core values of respect for parents, all humanity and the environment in to a world class education.

Throughout my life, I have been deeply influenced by the values and cultural heritage of Indian and European traditions alike. My regular travels to abroad provide me with a world-wide vision for the best education to be provided by HIS. The HIS, is a culmination of my vision to merge the finest in Indian and European educational practices.

I selected this beautiful and serene campus setting, free from the pressures of urban life, in order to develop in the boys and girls a sense of self-assurance and self-reliance.

Education should be all encompassing. Respect for people and culture is the part of the school’s belief, Equal opportunity is given to all in HIS. There is no discrimination whatsoever on the basis of religion, community, race, ethnicity or gender. I hope that the school will provide happiness and fulfillment for generations of young people.
